Srinagar, Jan 8: Mahindra Himalayan Motors on Thursday unveiled two new premium sport utility vehicles at its Tengpora Bypass facility, marking a significant addition to the brand’s presence in the Kashmir market.
The launch ceremony was attended by General Manager and Divisional Head Kashmir Division Arshid Qadri as the chief guest, along with SP Rambagh Shabir Ahmad Khan. The event was also graced by the Managing Directors, Bashir Ahmad Beigh and Jibran Gul Beigh, and the Chief Executive Officer of Himalayan Motors Sumeer Pandita.
At the event, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. introduced the XUV 7XO, its latest premium SUV, positioned as a new benchmark in the high-end segment. Starting at an ex-showroom price of Rs 13.66 lakh, the XUV 7XO builds on the legacy of the XUV 700, which has recorded over 3,00,000 customers since its launch in 2021. The new model focuses on enhanced sophistication, advanced technology, and a refined driving experience aimed at redefining expectations in the SUV category.
The company also showcased the XEV 9S, described as India’s first electric-origin seven-seater SUV developed ground-up on the INGLO architecture. Designed to address the growing demand for space, comfort, and sustainability, the XEV 9S has been positioned as a family-oriented electric SUV that caters to modern lifestyles and expanding aspirations.
Company officials said the XEV 9S represents a new direction in electric mobility, combining intelligent space utilisation with expressive design and next-generation technology. Powered by MAIA, Mahindra’s advanced automotive intelligence platform, the vehicle is aimed at offering what the company terms a new sense of electric freedom for Indian consumers.
