Rajouri, Mar 09: A mother and her five days old new born baby lost their lives in a road accident that happened on highway in Rajouri.
As per reports, the accident happened on Monday late afternoon when a car with registration number JK05C-8423 on way to Rajouri from Jammu collided with a school bus JK11G-8076.
In the accident, three person travelling in the ill-fated car sustained injuries who all were shifted to Sub District Hospital Sunderbani where mother and her new born baby were declared as brought dead.
They have been identified as Shanaz Akhter (40), wife of Abdul Majid, resident of Mandi Poonch and her five days old new born baby.
Car driver identified as Shakeel Ahmed son of Mohammad Sadiq resident of Mandi Poonch is undergoing treatment in hospital.
Police said that both the vehicles have been seized and necessary legal proceedings have been taken up.
