Ganderbal, Jan 17: The MSME Development and Facilitation Office (DFO), Srinagar, on Friday organised a one-day Entrepreneurship Awareness Programme at Government Degree College, Ganderbal, in collaboration with the District Industries Centre (DIC), Ganderbal.
The programme was held exclusively for beneficiaries under the PM Vishwakarma scheme with the objective of creating awareness about entrepreneurship, self-employment opportunities and institutional support available under various government initiatives.
Officials from DIC Ganderbal briefed the participants on key self-employment schemes being implemented in the Union Territory, including the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) and Mission YUVA. They explained the eligibility criteria, application process, subsidy provisions and the role of these schemes in promoting sustainable livelihoods for artisans.
The Lead District Manager (LDM), Ganderbal, interacted with the artisans and addressed their queries related to bank finance, credit linkage and repayment mechanisms.
