Steps to Renew Your Passport in India
1. Register Online
• Go to Passport Seva Portal
• New users: Click “New User Registration”
• Create login using your email and personal details
2. Fill the Application Form
• Log in and choose “Re-issue of Passport”
• Select reason (expiry, exhausted pages, or change in details)
• Fill in updated info and submit after review
3. Pay Fees Online
• Click “Pay and Schedule Appointment”
• Choose your nearest Passport Office (PSK/POPSK)
• Pay via card, UPI, or net banking
4. Book Appointment Slot
• Pick a suitable date and time
• Download/print confirmation receipt
5. Visit Passport Office with Documents
• Carry originals and self-attested photocopies
• Document verification, biometrics, and interview may follow
6. Police Verification (If Required)
• Needed if passport expired 3+ years ago or address has changed
