Prof Upendra Kaul honored with Lifetime Achievement Award by ISCR

New Delhi, Feb 13: Renowned Indian cardiologist Prof Upendra Kaul has been awarded the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award by the Indian Society of Clinical Research (ISCR) during their 20th Annual Conference held in New Delhi today.

ISCR, a professional non-profit association founded in 2005 in Mumbai, works to promote clinical research in India, uphold high ethical standards, and provide a platform for professionals to collaborate, share knowledge, and advance the industry.

Prof Kaul, recognized internationally for his contributions to cardiology, has been an active researcher and passionate teacher for over four decades, authoring more than 400 research publications. His groundbreaking work has earned him several honors, including the ICMR Shakuntala Amir Chand Award, the Dr B C Roy Award, and the Padma Shri.

In addition to his academic and clinical achievements, Prof Kaul is the founder of the Gauri Kaul Foundation, an NGO conducting outreach projects in Jammu and Kashmir since 2020. Through initiatives like the Gauri Research Centre, he has introduced ethical research practices to the region, impacting countless patients and advancing healthcare standards.

In recognition of his extraordinary contributions to cardiology and medical research, Prof Upendra Kaul was conferred the Lifetime Achievement Award for 2026.
