Srinagar, May 20: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Tuesday attached properties of four Pakistan-based terror handlers in Sopore and Awantipora areas.

A police spokesperson said that Sopore Police attached 29 marlas of land belonging to three Pakistan-based terror handlers Arshid Ahmad Teli, son of Ali Mohammad Teli, resident of Nowpora Tujjar; Firdous Ahmad Dar, @Umar Dar, son of Abdul Khaliq Dar; and Nazir Ahmad Dar, @Shabir Illahi, son of Ghulam Rasool Dar, both residents of Harwan.

He said the property attachment is linked to FIR No. 28/2008, registered at Police Station Sopore, under Sections 2/3 of the EMICO Act, Sections 120-B and 121 of the IPC, and Sections 7/25–27 of the Arms Act.

The action was executed under Sections 82 and 83 of the CrPC by Sopore Police in coordination with Revenue authorities, following due approval from the competent court. Earlier, the trio had been declared proclaimed offenders by the Hon’ble Court, he said.

In separate incident, police in Awantipora attached an immovable property (02 Marlas and 79 Sq.Feets land) situated at Frestabal Pampore (Drangabal estate) of Pak-based terror handler Owais Feroze Mir, son of Feroze Ahmad Mir, under section 88 CrPC after an order regarding attachment was received from Hon’ble Court of Addl. Sessions Pulwama (Special Designated Court under NIA Act).

The order as per police spokesperson was executed jointly by Awantipora Police and Revenue authorities.

The said terrorist is involved in case FIR No. 42/2018 under section 18, 20 and 38 UA(P) act of Police Station Pampore and was declared as proclaimed offender by Hon’ble special NIA Court Pulwama, he said and added, the Pak-based terrorist Owais Feroze is involved in promoting and trying to revive terrorist activities by pushing in arms & ammunition and activating local terror networks.
