Srinagar, Oct 26: The Jammu and Kashmir Police on Sunday attached a double-storey residential house valued at Rs 1881347, with a plinth area of 944.58 sq. ft. under Survey No. 259 min, belonging to Bilal Ahmad Sheikh, resident of Urpora Nagbal in south Kashmir’s Shopian.

An official said that the property has been found to be acquired using money obtained through the sale of illegal drugs and narcotics. He said the accused has been previously involved in multiple NDPS cases, including FIR No. 126/2021, 80/2024 and 62/2025 of Police Station Zainapora.

The attachment process, according to an official was executed in the presence of a duly constituted police team, Executive Magistrate, Lambardar and Chowkidar, ensuring full compliance with all legal protocols.

Police reiterated its commitment to enforcing the law against narcotics-related offences and appealed to the public to report any information regarding drug-related activities.
