PUCA announces scholarships for students at Guwahati Education Summit

Srinagar, Aug  2: The Punjab Unaided Colleges Association (PUCA) has announced a scholarship scheme for students from the North East, during an education summit held at Arista by Ambition, Anand Nagar, Guwahati, Assam. The event saw the participation of top educational leaders and consultants from both Punjab and Assam.

As per a statement issued by PUCA, the summit was organised in collaboration with the Society for Promotion of Education in Assam Region (SPEAR), bringing together 50 renowned education consultants from Assam and over 15 leading colleges from Punjab. The initiative aimed to explore collaborative models for academic growth and to expand opportunities for students from the Northeast to pursue higher education outside their home states.

Dr. Anshu Kataria, President of PUCA and Chairman of Aryans Group of Colleges, Rajpura (near Chandigarh), was the Chief Guest at the summit. Renowned educationist Dudul Chaudhary also graced the occasion as Special Guest.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Kataria said the summit was a major step in bridging the educational gap between regions. “We are committed to offering quality education to students from the North East and the scholarships announced today reflect our dedication,” he said.

Dr. Jyotirmoy Hazarika, President of SPEAR, expressed gratitude to PUCA and welcomed its outreach in the region. He called for similar initiatives in the future to ensure wider academic exposure for North Eastern students.

The summit was attended by prominent educationists from Punjab ,including Dr Akashdeep Singh, Dr. Gurpreet Singh, Er. S.K. Punj, Dr. Gursimranjit Singh, and others. Participating institutions included Aryans Group, Amritsar Group of Colleges, Gulzar Group, SVIET, Sri Sai Group, Universal Group, and Vidya Jyoti Eduversity, among others.
