Sopore, Aug 3: The RAAHAT Book Club on Saturday organised a book reading and launch session of ‘The Divine Codes of the Cosmos’, authored by Rehmat Bashir, at its office in Sopore.
The event, which marked the club’s fourth session, brought together writers, readers, academics and literature enthusiasts to deliberate on the themes of the book and the inspirations behind it.
Author Rehmat Bashir shared his journey and experiences that shaped the narrative of the work, reflecting on the spiritual and philosophical questions explored in the book.
A key highlight of the session was a critical reading and paper presentation by noted Urdu short story writer and literary critic Rafia Wali, who offered an in-depth analysis of the book’s symbolic and intellectual dimensions. Her presentation was followed by an interactive discussion with the participants.
Chairman of RAAHAT Book Club, Aashiq Hussain Zaki, reiterated the club’s commitment to nurturing the culture of reading and dialogue in Sopore.
“Our sessions are steps towards intellectual awakening and community enrichment,” he said.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks and a call for continued efforts to keep literature alive through such platforms.
The club extended an open invitation to book lovers to join its future sessions.
