Srinagar, Jan 6: Residents of Kadlabal in Pampore have been facing frequent and unscheduled power cuts for the past several days, causing severe inconvenience, especially during the ongoing harsh winter conditions. Locals report that electricity outages are occurring during both daytime and evening hours, making it difficult for households to cope with the cold.
Residents have expressed concern that the entire area is fully metered and, as per the prescribed power supply schedule, such interruptions should not be taking place. The unexpected power cuts have disrupted daily life and added to public resentment against the power department, said a delegation.
Locals fear that the continued irregular supply will result in a poor consumer experience and may lead to further hardships if not addressed immediately. The residents have urged the concerned Executive Engineer and higher authorities to take cognizance of the issue, prioritise Kadlabal Pampore, and ensure uninterrupted power supply at the earliest.
