Srinagar, Jul 25: The Royal Springs Golf Course (RSGC) kicked off its second club tournament of the season on Friday, featuring an exciting Fourball Best Ball (Partner by Draw) format.
As per a statement issued, the four-day event, which has drawn 52 golfers, including women participants, is being played on a match-play knockout basis and will culminate with the finals on July 30.
The unique format of the tournament, Four-ball Best Ball (Partner by Draw), added an exciting twist to the event, as partners were drawn randomly, promoting camaraderie and sportsmanship among club members.
The tournament is being played on a match-play knockout basis, and the finals will be held on the 30th of July, 2025 (Wednesday). Each pair played their best ball on every hole, allowing players to strategise and rely on each other’s strengths to compete for top honours.
The tournament teed off in the afternoon under clear skies and ideal weather conditions. The lush greens and panoramic views of the Zabarwan Hills and Dal Lake provided a stunning backdrop for an engaging day of golf.
Participants displayed commendable skill, and several close finishes added thrill to the competition throughout the course. The Royal Springs Golf Course remains committed to fostering a vibrant golfing culture in Kashmir and plans to host several more such tournaments and activities in the coming months, aimed at engaging golfers of all levels and promoting the sport across the region.
