Jammu, Apr 23: National Conference (NC) today staged a strong and vociferous protest against the barbaric killing of innocent tourists in the Pahalgam area of South Kashmir.
The party workers assembled infront of Sher-e-Kashmir Bhawan Jammu and started protest march in residency road Jammu, a press release said. Ajay Kumar Sadhotra former minister and Additional General Secretary said the barbaric killing is a great setback to the image of Jammu and Kashmir as a safe tourist destination. “It is tragic that when the region is gradually returning to normalcy, some anti-national elements are trying to sabotage the peace and economic revival of the UT,” he said.
He added that such incidents are part of a larger conspiracy to instill fear among visitors and derail the progress made in recent years.
Speaking to media persons here today, Adv Rattan Lal Gupta expressed profound grief and said that such heinous acts are not only a blot on humanity but also a grave setback to the initiatives taken by the National Conference Government .
