Shopian Volleyball Tournament concludes, Asgar Army clinches title

Shopian, Sep 4: Asgar Army Volleyball Club clinched the Shaheed Mehraj Memorial Knockout Volleyball Tournament title with a 3–1 victory over Outlaw Volleyball Club in a thrilling final at Woyen Imamsahib, marking the conclusion of the high-energy competition.

As per a statement, the final match, played between Asgar Army Volleyball Club and Outlaw Volleyball Club, kept the audience on the edge of their seats. After a fierce battle, Asgar Army emerged victorious, clinching the championship title with a 3-1 sets win. Their consistent performance throughout the tournament was crowned with this well-deserved victory. The runners-up, Outlaw Volleyball Club, also won hearts with their grit, determination, and impressive skills.

Adding to the grandeur of the event was the presence of several distinguished guests and dignitaries, including Faisal Hussain (JKPS), DYSP Imamsahib, and Mr Pawan Kumar (Sub-Inspector, PS Imamsahib), alongside community leaders and supporters such as Ashiq Mohi Ud Din, Ranjit Singh, Mukhtar Ahmad, Mushtaq Ahmad Mir, Nazir Ahmad Laway, Ab Ahad Mir, Mohd Iqbal Mir, Mir Sahil, Ufait Hilal, Inam Ahad, Aabid Yousuf, Shabir Ahmad Malla, Javid Ahmad Mir and Dr Bilal Ahad.

Their presence and enthusiastic support elevated the spirit of the event, with loud cheers and applause echoing through the venue. Speaking on behalf of the organising committee and Awqaf Committee Woyen, Dr Bilal Ahad extended heartfelt thanks to all guests, volunteers, officials, and supporters whose dedicated efforts made the tournament a resounding success.
