Ramban, Jan 23: Parts of Ramban district witnessed the season’s first snowfall, bringing relief from the prolonged dry weather conditions in the region, while other parts received rainfall.
Banihal, Ramsoo, Gool and Batote areas of Ramban district received fresh snowfall, with snow still continuing at the time of filing this report.
Officials said that around six inches of snow has accumulated so far in Banihal and its adjoining areas.
The fresh snowfall and rains have ended the long dry spell but have also led to a significant drop in temperatures across the district.
