Srinagar, Oct 29: The Speaker of Legislative Assembly Abdul Rahim Rather and CM Omar Abdullah on Wednesday shared a smiling gesture in the House.
The smiling gestures were witnessed in the House after the CM Omar was apparently confused, whether he had to put the bill to establish a National Law University in Kashmir, for a vote, before the House.
To this Speaker replied, “Your spoke on the issue as your job is done. Now that is my job (to put the bill for vote).”
On this the House witnessed a laughter as CM asked the Speaker to continue with his job.
Earlier a resolution was introduced by MLA Bandipora to establish a National Law University in Kashmir.
Replying to the resolution, CM Omar Abdullah informed the House that the government will make the Law University functional in Ompora Budgam from a makeshift arrangement till a location is identified for the establishment of a permanent campus for the University.
Omar Abdullah informed the House that they are hopeful to start the classes in the University from the next financial year.
