Banihal, Nov 30: In a devastating fire incident that broke out early Sunday morning in Gunz Top, Trigam area of Khari tehsil in Ramban district, three residential houses were completely reduced to ashes, leaving several families homeless.
Local residents told Greater Kashmir that the fire erupted in the early hours of Sunday and within no time engulfed two houses, turning them into heaps of ashes. Due to the intensity of the blaze, the affected families could not salvage any of their belongings.
Gunz Top is located on a hilltop, and the area is not yet connected by road, which further complicated rescue efforts.
According to available information, the families of Ghulam Qadir son of Mohammad Sultan Khah, Mohammad Rafiq son of Ghulam Qadir Khah, Mohammad Ashraf son of Ghulam Qadir Khah, Ghulam Mohammad son of Wahab Khah, Ghulam Rasool Khah son of Wahab Khah, and Mohammad Yousuf son of Abdul Ghani Khah have been rendered homeless in the incident.
