Anantbag, April 13: Two boys drowned after slipping into the Jhelum River in the Padshahibagh area of Bijbehara town in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Monday.
Officials said the incident occurred when the two accidentally fell into the river while washing livestock.
Rescue teams were deployed and rushed to the scene soon after the incident was reported, they said.
The identities of the deceased have not yet been confirmed, and further details are awaited.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated an investigation.
