Srinagar, Aug 11: Kashmir Harvard School (KHS), in collaboration with the Well Care Medical Institute (WMI), organised a blood donation camp at the school premises, aiming to promote the importance of blood donation and support the lifesaving cause.
The initiative witnessed enthusiastic participation from KHS school bus drivers, who stepped forward to donate blood, reflecting their commitment to social responsibility.
Medical experts from WMI supervised the entire process, ensuring donor safety and proper medical protocols. Alongside the collection of blood, the camp also served to raise awareness, dispel myths surrounding blood donation, and encourage greater community participation.
“We are proud to have organised this camp, which not only underlines the importance of giving back to society but also showcases the compassion and empathy of our staff,” said the Principal of KHS.
The event was sponsored by Pharma Essence Mediclinic, Ahmadnagar (90 Feet Road), with JLNM Hospital and Amandeep BR Medicity Hospital also partnering in the initiative. The collected blood will be added to their respective blood banks to meet patient needs.
Dr. Masood ul Hassan, Medical Director of WMI, thanked the Principal and the Director of Transport at KHS for their support. “As part of our social responsibility, this blood donation camp will make a meaningful contribution to blood banks and help patients in urgent need of transfusions,” he said.
