16 students of Petronet Kashmir Super-50 qualify JEE Mains-2025, felicitated

Srinagar, Apr 24:  In a positive development, as many as 16 out of 35 students of Petronet Kashmir Super 50 Srinagar have qualified JEE Mains-2025 exams, the result of which was declared by National Testing Agency (NTA) last week.

In this regard a felicitation ceremony was held at Somnath Military Station Rangreth Budgam.
The Petronet Kashmir Super 50 is a joint initiative of Centre for Social Responsibility and Leadership (CSRL), Indian Army and Petronet wherein children from economically weaker sections are provided with one year coaching for JEE exams free of cost.

In JEE Mains-2025 out of 16 students who qualified the national level exams, three students from Kashmir Super-50 group have obtained 95 percentile marks.

These include Faisil Bashir Wani (95.25%ile) who secured All India Rank 72822, Tsering Chosphel ( 95.19%ile) who secured an impressive (540) in Reserved Category and Mohammad Abbas ( 93%ile) who secured 100192 All India Rank.

Since the inception of Kashmir Super 50 initiative in J&K, around 425 students have enrolled for coaching and 268 students got admission in different engineering institutions after receiving free coaching under the initiative. The overall success rate is 63 percent.

After receiving free coaching under Kashmir Super 50 as many as 28 candidates secured admissions in Top IITs, 110 students got admissions in Top NITs, 11 students got admission in IIITs and 119 students secured admissions in other government Engineering Colleges
Notably, Centre for Social Responsibility and Leadership (CSRL) strives to empower the next generation through education, nurturing their talents and ambitions regardless of their socio-economic background.

The organisation has been actively involved in educating students coming from the underprivileged section of the society through various Super 30 projects being executed across India.

As of now, CSRL is managing centres at 33 locations, spread across all states, with the sole objective of reaching out to the most deserving ones and bridging the socio-economic gap existing in the society.

“Out of 33 projects of CSRL, the Petronet Kashmir Super 50 is one of them. This was initiated to alleviate the problems of talented students by providing an appropriate platform in form of mentoring cum coaching institute – Indian Army (Chinar Corps) in coordination with CSRL and Petronet LNG Limited,” said senior project manager CSRL Majid Aziz.
He however attributed the success of students and the Kashmir Super 50 initiative to the support received from Indian Army (Chinar Corps).

“Indian Army extended full administrative support, ensuring that every candidate under the Super 50 program gets proper accommodation, necessary logistics, and a secure environment to focus solely on their learning and development,” he said.

He said the contribution of Army has gone beyond infrastructure.

“The contribution of Indian Army’s AD Brigade has enabled us to expand our reach, improve the program and provide essential resources to our students,” he said.
The student who qualified JEE Main 2025 exam also attributed their success to support received under Kashmir Super 50 initiative

“Chinar Corps of Indian Army, CSRL and Petronet provided us with the tools and resources we needed to succeed. We are all grateful for the unwavering support from the management and faculty,” said Sajid Ahmad, one of the students.

Krishnamurti Singh, Director of Operations at CSRL New Delhi also expressed pride in the students’ achievements.

“We are incredibly proud of our students. Their hard work and dedication, combined with our comprehensive educational approach, have made this success possible,” he said.
