Srinagar, Sep 22: Traders from Downtown Srinagar have urged authorities to address multiple issues related to power supply.

A delegation led by Omar Gani met the Executive Engineer of the Khanyar Electric Division, Ghulam Nabi Mir, and highlighted the problems faced by commercial establishments.

“We demand restoration of paper bills so that traders can pay their dues on time. We have also requested an amnesty scheme or waiver of arrears for commercial establishments, along with restoration of uninterrupted power supply,” Gani said.

The delegation also appreciated the initiative of the Executive Engineer for launching a door-to-door campaign to promote the installation of solar rooftop panels, terming it a step towards sustainable energy solutions.
