Police seek public assistance in identifying motorcyclist involved in hit-and-run case

Srinagar, Nov 20: Police are seeking public assistance to identify a motorcyclist who fled the scene after allegedly hitting a pedestrian at Tailbal Adda, resulting in the victim’s death.

A police spokesperson said that Police Station Nigeen received information that a motorcyclist, driving rashly and negligently, had hit a pedestrian—Ab. Rashid Gojri, son of Ab. Rehman Gojri, a resident of Kangan—and fled the scene. The injured man was shifted to SKIMS Soura for treatment but later succumbed to his injuries.

During the course of investigation, CCTV footage from the vicinity was analysed, and a photograph of the suspected motorcyclist was obtained, he added.

In this regard, the general public is requested to help in identifying the individual shown in the photograph. Any information leading to the suspect’s identification or location may be shared with Police Station Nigeen on 9596770590 & 9596770592 Or Dial 112.
