Swiggy Q3 FY25 Report: Net Loss Expands to ₹799 Crore, Revenue Grows 31% Year-on-Year

Swiggy reported a net loss of ₹799 crore for the third quarter of FY25 (October to December), which is a rise from ₹574 crore in the same quarter of the previous fiscal year.

For Q3 FY25, Swiggy‘s revenue from operations amounted to ₹3,993 crore, reflecting a 31% year-on-year (YoY) growth from ₹3,049 crore reported in Q3 FY24.

Swiggy’s stock ended 3.56% lower at ₹418.60 on the NSE on February 5, following the release of its earnings after market hours.

On a quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) basis, the company’s revenue rose by 18.1%, compared to ₹3,301.45 crore in Q2 FY25. However, its net loss widened from ₹625.5 crore in Q2.

The company’s EBITDA loss for the quarter stood at ₹725.66 crore, up from ₹554.17 crore in Q2 FY25.

Swiggy’s CEO and MD, Sriharsha Majety, mentioned that the company had focused on offering segmented products during the festive quarter to stimulate more consumption opportunities. He highlighted new initiatives such as Bolt and Snacc (10-minute food delivery), expansion in the Quick-Commerce category, and the launch of Swiggy Scenes for restaurant event bookings. The company also introduced One BLCK, a premium tier of its Swiggy One subscription service.

Majety added that Swiggy experienced YoY growth across its primary business segments in Q3, with B2C GOV growing 38% YoY. He noted that while Food delivery margins and cash flow generation were expanding, investments were being made in Quick-commerce, including dark store expansion and marketing, given the competitive landscape. Instamart, for example, added 86 new stores in January 2025 and grew its Monthly Transacting Users (MTUs) by 2 million to reach 9 million.

  • Swiggy Instamart: The quick commerce segment reported a 17.7% QoQ increase in revenue, reaching ₹576.50 crore, up from ₹490 crore in the previous quarter.
  • Food Delivery: The food delivery segment saw a 3.8% QoQ revenue increase, totaling ₹1,636.8 crore, compared to ₹1,577.47 crore in Q2 FY25.

Other Key Information:

  • The platform’s Gross Order Value (B2C GOV) grew by 38% YoY, reaching ₹12,165 crore.
  • Food delivery GOV rose 19.2% YoY to ₹7,436 crore, with the addition of 2.4 million MTUs in 2024.
  • Swiggy Instamart GOV surged by 88.1% YoY, reaching ₹3,907 crore, with 96 new active dark stores added, marking a 16% QoQ increase.
