Ganderbal, June 22 : The Lieutenant Governor Jammu and Kashmir Manoj Sinha on Monday visited Tulmulla area of Ganderbal district and paid obeisance at the revered Mata Kheer Bhawani temple here on the occasion of Mela Kheer Bhawani.
The LG Manoj Sinha during his visit paid obeisance at Mata Kheer Bhawani and prayed for welfare of one and all. The LG reviewed arrangements being made for the auspicious occasion of Jyeshtha Ashtami which is being observed today.
Speaking to reporters, LG Sinha said that prayers were made for peace and prosperity of everyone. He appreciated the efforts of administration for making adequate arrangements and said devotees in large numbers have arrived to attend the Mela this year.

The annual Mela Kheer Bhawani is being observed today. During the annual Mela Kheer Bhawani, thousands of devotees particularly Pandits have gathered at Kheer Bhawani temple Tulmulla. The annual mela Kheer Bhawani is a symbol of Hindu-Muslim bonhomie where majority of Muslim population make arrangements for the festival celebrated by Hindu community.
Director General of Police Nalin Prabhat also visited the Kheer Bhawani temple in Tulmulla and paid obeisance besides took stock of the security arrangements.
