Srinagar, July 23: As part of its sustained efforts to maintain peace, public order, and security in the district, J&K Police in Baramulla conducted search operations at the residences of Jammu & Kashmir natives presently living in Pakistan (POK), their family members, and other closely associated premises falling within the jurisdiction of Police Station Bijgama.

Officials said the searches were conducted strictly in accordance with due legal procedure in a professional and orderly manner, with due regard to all legal safeguards. The operations concluded peacefully, and no incriminating material was recovered during the searches.

These search operations were part of the ongoing efforts of police to maintain a secure environment, prevent unlawful activities, and ensure that all necessary preventive measures are taken in the interest of public safety. The cooperation extended by local residents during the operation is sincerely appreciated, officials said.

Baramulla Police remain committed to upholding the rule of law and will continue to take lawful and proactive measures to preserve peace, maintain public confidence, and safeguard the security of the district, officials added.
