Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Saturday met MLA Bani Dr Rameshwar Singh and MLA Lal Chowk Sheikh Ahsan Pardesi at Raabita here, who apprised him of various matters concerning their respective constituencies.
The Chief Minister, as per an official statement, discussed the issues raised by the legislators and assured that matters pertaining to public welfare and development would receive due consideration.
Later, the Chief Minister met a delegation led by Kashmir Super League (KSL) Organiser Mushtaq Bashir, which apprised him of plans for the upcoming Kashmir Super League 2026 in Srinagar.
On the occasion, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah unveiled the jersey and football specially designed for the Kashmir Super League.
Meanwhile, in a sperate statement issued by KSL, the official football of the Khyber Cement Kashmir Super League 2026 powered by Athwas Retail and Athwas Hyundai was formally launched by the Chief Minister of J&K, marking a significant milestone ahead of the second season of the much-awaited football league.
Chief Minister commended Hinan Manzoor and Mushtaq Bashir, Founders and Organisers of the Kashmir Super League, for taking the initiative to establish and organise the league, appreciating their efforts towards promoting football and creating a professional platform for local players to showcase their talent.
Chief Minister also assured the organisers that he would make every possible effort to grace one of the Kashmir Super League matches. His presence, the organisers said, would serve as a major encouragement for the participating players, franchises and the wider football fraternity of J&K.
During the ceremony, Hinan Manzoor and Mushtaq Bashir presented a souvenir Kashmir Super League jersey to the Chief Minister as a mark of respect and appreciation.
Adding further strength to the league’s professional ecosystem, NIVIA has come on board as the Official Football Partner for Kashmir Super League Season 2. NIVIA, one of India’s leading sports brands, will provide the official match footballs to be used throughout the tournament.
With the official match football now unveiled, the countdown to Kashmir Super League 2026 has officially begun.
