Katra, Aug 8: With a view to ensuring enhanced security for seamless pilgrimage and smooth conduct of the forthcoming National event, a comprehensive review meeting was held on Saturday chaired by Shri Sachin Kumar Vaishya, Chief Executive Officer, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board at the Spiritual Growth Centre (SGC), Katra to take stock of the preparedness and arrangements.
During the meeting, detailed discussions, as per a statement, were held on the arrangements for the Independence Day Celebrations, which will be organized at the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Sports Complex, Katra wherein, Chief Executive Officer, SMVDSB will unfurl the National Flag and inspect the parade comprising contingents of the JKP, CRPF, Shrine Security, NCC and children from different schools in the region.
The meeting also reviewed the arrangements for the cultural programme to be presented during the celebrations. It was decided that the programme would be designed in keeping with the spirit of the national occasion and would also highlight socially relevant themes such as “Nasha Mukt Abhiyaan”.
