BRO’s project BRAHMANK marks 16th Raising Day in Arunachal

Border Roads Organisation’s (BRO) Project BRAHMANK celebrated its 16th Raising Day on Monday at Ranaghat in Arunachal Pradesh, marking 15 years of building and maintaining strategic road infrastructure in the northeastern state.

The project is responsible for the development and maintenance of 811 km of roads and about 86 bridges across Siang, East Siang, West Siang, Upper Siang and Shi-Yomi districts of Arunachal Pradesh, besides parts of Assam’s Dhemaji district.

During 2025-26, Project BRAHMANK completed 13 bridges with a combined span of 390 metres and blacktopped 61 km of roads to national highway standards. It has also developed helipads to improve connectivity in the strategically important region.

The BRO said the project has played a key role in strengthening operational connectivity for the armed forces while improving access to remote border areas despite difficult terrain and challenging weather conditions.
