Srinagar, Oct 28: The District Level Committee (DLC) meeting on the implementation of the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP) and Jammu & Kashmir Comprehensive Investment Plan (JKCIP) was held today under the chairpersonship of Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, Indu Kanwal Chib, at the Chief Agriculture Office, Mini Secretariat Bandipora.
During the meeting, the department heads, including the Chief Horticulture Officer and Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, submitted 365 cases for consideration, which were scrutinized for permissibility. After detailed verification, deliberations, and confirmation as per the prescribed rules, the committee approved all 365 cases for financial assistance and technical support under different agriculture and allied sectors, said a press release.
Under the Agriculture sector, 210 cases under HADP were sanctioned with a focus on seed multiplication, integrated farming systems, area expansion, creation of water management systems, and promotion of protected cultivation. Similarly, 32 cases under JKCIP were approved, promoting area expansion under vegetables and shallots, and development of water management systems (borewells). On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner stressed upon the officers to facilitate beneficiaries and expedite field-level activities to ensure effective implementation and timely achievement of objectives under both HADP and JKCIP.
