New Delhi, Nov 5: The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) on Thursday successfully flight-tested the indigenously developed quasi-ballistic missile ‘Pralay’ from Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Island off the Odisha coast.
The test was conducted at around 11.10 am as part of user evaluation trials, with all objectives successfully met, as confirmed by data from range instruments deployed by the Integrated Test Range, Chandipur.
Developed by DRDO’s Research Centre Imarat, Hyderabad, along with other laboratories, the missile has been produced by Bharat Dynamics Limited. With the successful test, its induction into the armed forces has become imminent. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh congratulated DRDO, the armed forces and industry partners, saying the missile’s advanced technologies would further strengthen the military’s technological capabilities and operational preparedness against emerging threats.
