Rajouri, Aug 21: The ongoing strike by employees of the newly established Government Medical Colleges (GMCs) across Jammu and Kashmir has severely affected healthcare services, with Outpatient Department (OPD) services among the worst hit in Government Medical College (GMC) Rajouri.
The employees have been protesting over the prolonged delay in notification of their recruitment and service rules.
The agitation has disrupted routine functioning at the medical colleges, causing inconvenience to patients and attendants seeking treatment.
With employees remaining on strike, the impact is being particularly felt in OPDs, where patients are facing difficulties in accessing routine consultations and other hospital-related services.
