EPFO promotes Vishwas-2026 Scheme at seminar with BBIA leadership

The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) on Thursday conducted an interactive seminar with the leadership of the Bari Brahmana Industries Association (BBIA) to create awareness about its social security initiatives, with a special focus on the recently launched Vishwas-2026 Scheme.

The seminar was led by Regional Provident Fund Commissioner-I Sumeet Singh and attended by newly elected BBIA President Tarun Singla, who is also Chairman of the Federation of Industries Jammu (FOIJ), along with office bearers of the association.

Congratulating Singla on his election as BBIA President, Singh expressed confidence that his leadership would contribute to strengthening the region’s industrial ecosystem. The session highlighted three key EPFO schemes and explained the provisions of the Vishwas-2026 Scheme, a special initiative aimed at facilitating the amicable and time-bound resolution of pending damages cases under Section 14B of the Employees’ Provident Funds and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952, or Section 128 of the Code on Social Security, 2020. Enforcement Officer Devinder Singh informed participants that the scheme came into effect on June 29, 2026, and will remain open for six months. He urged eligible establishments to utilise the one-time opportunity to settle pending cases and improve compliance with social security provisions.

Welcoming the initiative, Tarun Singla said the Vishwas-2026 Scheme was a timely intervention that would benefit industries facing delays in EPF remittances due to inadvertent reasons.

“The association welcomes the launch of the Vishwas-2026 Scheme. It was the need of the hour, as many establishments have experienced delays in EPF remittances for genuine reasons. The scheme will provide much-needed relief by reducing penalties and encouraging voluntary compliance,” he said.

Senior Vice President Viraaj Malhotra, Secretary Abhishek Mahajan and other BBIA representatives also participated in the seminar. The association assured EPFO that it would widely disseminate information about the scheme among its members and encourage all eligible establishments to avail of its benefits within the stipulated period.

The seminar concluded with an interactive session during which industry representatives appreciated EPFO’s outreach efforts and reiterated their commitment to strengthening compliance and extending social security benefits to eligible employees.
