Rajouri, Dec 19: Security forces on Friday launched a massive Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in areas of Rajouri over some suspicious movement and recovered some grenades during the operation.
As per officials, following some specific information of suspicious movement in the areas of Behrote Gali and adjoining areas of Thanamandi sub division of Rajouri, an anti-terror operation was launched during the intervening night of December 18 and 19.
“The stretch of Behrote Gali and adjoining areas were cordoned during the midnight while searches were launched on Friday morning. They are still going on,” said officials.
They further said that joint teams of 49 RR of Indian Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police and Special Operation Group (SOG) of Police were carrying out this operation.
As per reports, some hand grenades were also recovered in the searches.
