Jammu, Nov 17: JKPCC President Tariq Hameed Karra chaired a review cum preparatory meeting of the party to celebrate the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
The meeting was attended by Working President Raman Bhalla, Senior leaders, former ministers, ex-legislators, DCC Presidents, frontal wings and ex-Corporators.
The meeting decided to celebrate the birth anniversary of Indira Gandhi on November 19 and in a befitting manner, said a press release. “The function to celebrate Indira ji’s Birth Anniversary on November 19 will be held at JK Resort Jammu,” said a press release. Addressing the gathering, PCC chief asked the party leaders and workers to gear up their struggle for restoration of statehood and also to strengthen the grass root committees, block committee, district committees with induction of right and dedicated, committed workers at all levels. He said that working of committees shall be reviewed and the committees at all levels shell be reconstituted and to further strengthen them.
He said that till new committees are constituted the existing district and block committees shall continue to function. Karra asked them to gear up their activities in respective areas. He said that second line leadership shall be encouraged and promoted based on merit and said that there shall no favoritism or bias in giving opportunities to work in the organisation. Karra also said that “ Ghar Ghar Dastak-Har Ghar Dastaka” campaign for restoration of statehood shall be launched & series of programs shall be initiated till the statehood is restored.
