IGP Jammu asks PSIs to enhance professional skills

Inspector General of Police (IGP), Jammu zone, Bhim Sen Tuti on Wednesday asked the Probationary Sub-Inspectors (PSIs) to continuously enhance their professional skills and maintain high ethical standards.

He was addressing the PSIs of the 2024 batch during an interaction session held at District Police Lines (DPL), Jammu.

While addressing the young officers, the IGP emphasised the importance of upholding the values of honesty, integrity, professionalism and public service. He motivated the PSIs to remain true to the oath they had taken as police officers and to discharge their duties with utmost dedication, commitment, and sincerity.

IGP Jammu highlighted the crucial role of police officers in maintaining law and order, ensuring public safety, and strengthening the trust between the police and the community. He encouraged the probationers to work tirelessly for the welfare of society.

The session was followed by an interactive discussion during which the PSIs raised various queries and sought guidance on professional challenges, policing practices, and career development.

The IGP addressed their concerns and shared valuable insights drawn from his extensive policing experience.

“The interaction proved to be highly informative and motivational, providing the young officers with an opportunity to gain practical knowledge and inspiration as they embark on their policing careers,” a police spokesperson said.

Senior police officers were also present on the occasion.
