J&K govt takes up bus attack with Haryana, seeks action: CM’s office

Srinagar, Oct 18: The Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister’s Office has taken up the reported attack on a J&K-bound bus with the Haryana Government, expressing concern over the safety and well-being of the passengers.

In a statement, the Chief Minister’s office said the Haryana administration had assured prompt and stringent action in accordance with the law.

“The J&K Government stands with the affected passengers and is closely monitoring the situation,” the statement said.

The development comes after a Delhi-Srinagar luxury bus was reportedly attacked near Kurukshetra in Haryana late Saturday night, leaving an elderly Kashmiri passenger injured.

The incident has drawn condemnation from political leaders in Jammu and Kashmir, who have called for action against those responsible and measures to ensure the safety of passengers.
