J&K High Court designates 15 advocates as senior advocates

The High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh has designated 15 advocates as Senior Advocates under Section 16(2) of the Advocates Act, 1961, in accordance with the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh (Designation of Senior Advocates) Rules, 2025.

According to an order issued by the Office of the Registrar General at Jammu on Thursday, the designations have been granted with effect from June 22, 2026, subject to the terms and conditions prescribed under the Advocates Act, 1961, and the High Court’s 2025 Rules governing the designation of Senior Advocates.

The advocates designated as Senior Advocates are Arifa Jan, Ajay K. Gandotra, Muzaffar Iqbal Khan, Rozina Afzal, Pran Nath Bhat, Abdul Rashid Malik, Monika Kohli, Adarsh Kumar Sharma, Pawan Kumar (Kundal), Mandeep Reen, Radha Sharma, Ajay Pal Singh, Anshuja Sharma Tak, Manzoor Ali and Vikas Mangotra.

The order, issued by Registrar General M.K. Sharma, has been forwarded to the Secretary General of the Supreme Court of India, the Registrars General of all High Courts, the Advocate General of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, the Bar Council of India, judicial officers, and Bar associations across the Union Territory for information and necessary action.
