The Jammu & Kashmir Junior Men Hockey Team on Saturday departed for Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, to participate in the prestigious 16th Hockey India Junior Men National Championship 2026, scheduled to be held from 28th July to 8th August 2026.
Representing the Union Territory on the national stage, the young hockey players carry the hopes and aspirations of Jammu & Kashmir. The team has undergone systematic coaching and intensive training, and is fully prepared to compete against the country’s finest junior hockey teams.
The office bearers of Hockey Jammu & Kashmir, as per a statement conveyed their heartfelt best wishes to the players, coaches, and support staff. They expressed confidence that the team will uphold the spirit of fair play, discipline, and excellence while striving to bring glory to Jammu & Kashmir through outstanding performances.
The championship, organised by Hockey India, is one of the country’s most prestigious junior hockey events and serves as a platform for identifying future national stars.
