Poonch, June 16: One person lost his life while two others sustained serious injuries after a motorcycle met with an accident in the Jandrola Gali Nag area of Mandi tehsil in Poonch district on Tuesday morning.
Police sources said that three persons were travelling on a motorcycle from Jandrola towards Gali Nag when the vehicle reportedly lost control and met with an accident near Gali Nag.
The deceased has been identified as Mohammad Azam, son of Noor Mohammad, a resident of Islamabad, who died on the spot. The injured have been identified as Mohammad Arif, son of Akbar Din, and Noor Mohammad, son of Lal Din, both residents of Islamabad. They were shifted to District Hospital Poonch for treatment, where their condition is stated to be serious.
Police have registered a case in connection with the incident at Police Station Mandi and initiated an investigation to ascertain the cause of the accident.
