Baramulla, April 19: A Power Development Department (PDD) employee was electrocuted to death while carrying out repair work in Binner village of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Sunday.
Officials said the deceased has been identified as Abdul Khaliq Sheikh, son of Mohammad Sultan Sheikh, resident of Binner.
They said the incident happened when Sheikh came in contact with a live power line during maintenance work, leaving him critically injured.
He was immediately shifted to Government Medical College (GMC) Baramulla, where doctors declared him dead on arrival, they added.
