Bandipora, July 8: A Power Development Department (PDD) lineman died of electrocution in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Wednesday while carrying out a repair work.
The lineman was identifed as Mohammad Ismail, son of Abdul Aziz, a resident of Galkaloo in Garoora village of the district.
Ismail was carrying out a repair work of the transmission line near Galkaloo crossing when he was suddenly electrocuted, injuring him seriously.
He was rushed to the district hospital (DH) Bandipora where doctors declared him brought dead on arrival.
