Srinagar, July 15: In a significant action under the ongoing 100 Days Campaign, Police in Kulgam, in coordination with the Revenue Department, have attached immovable properties with an estimated market value of approximately Rs 1.50 crores in District Kulgam as part of sustained efforts to curb unlawful activities and dismantle the infrastructure supporting such offences.
A police spokesperson said the action was carried out by Police Station Kulgam under the directions of SSP Kulgam. The attached properties comprises three residential houses belonging to Ikhlaq Mubarak, son of Mubarak Ahmad Nengroo, resident of Amnoo; Aqib Mubarak Dar, resident of Brazloo, Kulgam; and Showkat Ahmad Rather, son of Wali Mohd Rather, resident of Ashmuji, Kulgam have been attached in accordance with the relevant provisions of law pursuant to the orders of the competent authority.
This action reflects the firm commitment of the Jammu and Kashmir Police to ensure that proceeds of crime and properties linked to unlawful activities are dealt with strictly in accordance with the law, he said.
J&K Police reiterated its resolve to maintain peace, uphold the rule of law, and take stringent legal action against individuals involved in activities prejudicial to public order and the security of the Union Territory.
The general public has been urged to continue cooperating with the police and share information regarding any unlawful activities in their respective areas so that collective efforts towards maintaining peace, security, and the rule of law can be further strengthened.
