Jammu, Sep 12: The State Investigation Agency (SIA), Jammu, today conducted searches at five locations in the Mandi and Surankote areas of District Poonch and Ramnagar area of District Udhampur in connection with an ongoing investigation into a case involving alleged propagation of secessionist narratives and radicalisation activities through online and offline communication channels, including social media platforms from across the border.
According to an official spokesperson, “During the course of investigation, certain individuals were found to be allegedly communicating with suspicious persons located across the Line of Control (LoC)/border.”
The search operations commenced in the morning and are presently underway. The searches are aimed at collecting and verifying relevant material and evidence in furtherance of the ongoing investigation, he said.
“Further details, if any, will be shared upon completion of the search operations and assessment of the material recovered,” an SIA spokesperson said.
