Education Dept employees without salary in Jammu as Govt delays budget release

Srinagar, Jan 18: The employees of the School Education Department (SED) in Jammu division are without their salary as the department has delayed release of the Salary budget.

J&K Teachers Forum (JKTF) has expressed concern over the move saying that the delaying monthly salary of employees was unfair to them.

In a joint statement issued here, Chairman JKTF Muhammad Shafi Rather and Chief Patron Ganesh Khajuria have expressed their serious concern over the “unjustified delay” in releasing Salary Budget of employees of education department in Jammu division.

“This is for the first time that salary budget is not released in time,” the joint statement reads

Provincial President JKTF Javaid Ahmad Bhat also castigated the authorities for the unnecessary delay in releasing the Salary Budget.

“We are experiencing this delay for the first time. It should not have happened with the employees who are working with utmost dedication and delivering their services,” Bhat said.

He said that employees were the worst victims of this official apathy.

“Heavy interests are being charged to the employees who have taken loans from the bank, besides patients are not getting life saving drugs and the employees are in trauma,” Bhat added.

The JKTF urged the government to release the salary budget of the employees of the education department so that the employees do not face any hardships in future.
