Hyundai cars to get costlier from September

Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) will increase vehicle prices across its portfolio by up to 1 per cent from September 2026, citing persistent increases in input and commodity costs as well as geopolitical and macroeconomic uncertainties.

In a stock exchange filing, the automaker said it had continued efforts to optimise costs and absorb part of the escalation to limit the impact on customers. However, sustained cost pressures had made it necessary to pass on a portion of the additional burden through the marginal price revision.

Hyundai currently offers vehicles ranging from the Grand i10 Nios hatchback to the Ioniq 5 electric SUV, with prices spanning approximately Rs 5.6 lakh to Rs 55.7 lakh.

The September increase will mark Hyundai’s third price hike in 2026. The company raised prices by 0.6 per cent from January 1 and announced another increase of up to 1 per cent in April, which was subsequently implemented from June 1. The June revision resulted in increases of up to Rs 12,800, depending on the model and variant.
