Nine persons, including five women, sustained injuries when a mini-bus suddenly overturned at Muthi dream city area in Jammu outskirts on Wednesday.
All the injured were immediately shifted to Government Medical College (GMC) hospital Jammu where their condition was stated to be stable.
Though passengers and eyewitnesses alleged that the accident occurred due to rash and negligent driving, yet the Police said that the case was registered and an investigation was underway to ascertain the cause of the accident.
The injured have been identified as Rajni, 32, wife of Raj Kumar, resident of Purkhoo camp; Vikram, 33, son of Rajinder Kumar, resident of Patoli Brahmana; Rinku, 30, son of Satpal; Ikhlaq Hussain, 20, son of Mohd Lat, Irfan, 20, son of Abdul Razaq; Avantika, 18, daughter of Radhay Sham – all residents of Purkhoo camp; Subi, 27, daughter of Somdas Shivgotra, resident of Patoli Brahmana; Sahil Singh, 19, son of Rakesh Singh and Riya Sharma, 25, daughter of Kuldeep Kumar, both residents of Purkhoo camp.
